Sarah’s postcard from the Pacific

no comments | Monday, May 20th, 2013
Sarah Outen has found the time to send us a personal thank-you message while on her London-2-London voyage. Sarah has rowed roughly 1,500km into the Pacific Ocean out of Japan (around 1/4 of the way to the U.S.A.). Once she reaches America she plans to cycle from the west coast to the east and then embark upon rowing the Atlantic Ocean home to London. We’re wishing Sarah the best of luck and look forward to hearing from her again soon.

Glanusk Estate, one of the UK’s best sporting destinations

no comments | Wednesday, May 15th, 2013
Glanusk Estate, Blaythorne’s home for five years, has been featured in June’s issue of The Field magazine as one of the UK’s best destinations for sporting breaks. The magazine highlights Glanusk’s salmon and trout fishing on the River Usk as well as the estate’s two shoots: the main shoot and the family shoot. In the feature the estate’s owner, Harry Legge-Bourke, says: “We treat every guest as though they were friends staying. Why bother heading north or west when this gem is at most people’s front door?”

no comments | Tuesday, April 30th, 2013
Following last Friday’s update, on Saturday 27th April 2013, Sarah Outen set out from Choshi Marina, Japan. Unfortunately, it was a short-lived attempt as the winds blowing into the marina made it impossible to leave. However, her second attempt at 15.33pm was successful as the winds had died down and Sarah rowed out of the marina with a beaming smile across her face. Over the last 48 hours, it has been a mix of good and bad. Sarah has been helped enormously by the winds which have pushed her onto the Kuroshio ...
